Founder & CEO
"I believe every family deserves support, compassion, and the right tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. In the midst of caring for others, we often forget to care for ourselves, yet our well-being and happiness matter just as much. Because life is precious, I created MamaCare Wellness to provide guidance, resources, and encouragement for families seeking balance, strength, and wellness."
A life dedicated to family wellness
Aïcha is a Registered Nurse, community leader, entrepreneur, and mother. She is also the co-founder and co-chair of community organizations in Canada and Cameroon. For many years, she has been actively involved in supporting mothers and babies, older adults, young women, families, and individuals facing physical and mental health challenges.
As a community leader, Aïcha also works closely with newcomers to Canada, helping them navigate the challenges of settling into a new country and supporting their integration into Canadian society. Through her community involvement, she helps individuals and families access information, resources, services, and connections that can make their transition easier and more successful.
Her professional and community experience has given her a diverse background that brings together nursing, leadership, management, coaching, doula care, and holistic wellness. More than a collection of qualifications, these experiences have shaped the way she understands health as something that involves the whole person, including the body, mind, relationships, and environment.
The Story Behind MamaCare Wellness
The vision for MamaCare Wellness was born from a deeply personal experience. When Aïcha gave birth to her fifth child in Canada, her husband was at home caring for their other children. Although she was surrounded by care within the healthcare system and the community members, the experience was very different from what she had known culturally.
In her culture, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period are often times when women are surrounded by family and community. Mothers are supported, cared for, encouraged, and rarely expected to go through these important moments alone.
Being far from her family and familiar support network made Aïcha realize how many women, especially immigrant women, may experience pregnancy, motherhood, and major life transitions without the support system they need.
Her experience as a nurse deepened this understanding. Over the years, she has witnessed suffering, difficult life circumstances, vulnerability, but also remarkable strength and resilience. These experiences reminded her that life is precious and that caring for ourselves should not be something we postpone until we are overwhelmed.
A Vision Rooted in Compassion
MamaCare Wellness was created from this belief: well-being should be supported, not simply talked about.
Aïcha believes that women and families deserve access to compassionate support, meaningful education, and a safe space where they can feel heard, valued, and empowered.
She also believes deeply in the power of human connection. Genuine relationships, collaboration, and strong community partnerships can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
For Aïcha, serving others is more than a profession; it is a vocation.
Through MamaCare Wellness, she brings together her nursing knowledge, life experience, community leadership, and passion for holistic well-being to support women, families, newcomers, and communities in caring for their health and navigating life's transitions with compassion, balance, dignity, and humanity.
